Terms of Service

1. About the Service

PetKin provides an emergency QR code system that, when scanned, notifies your designated emergency contacts via SMS, WhatsApp, and email. The Service is designed to help ensure the safety and care of your pet if you are unable to respond in an emergency.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using PetKin, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed.

4. QR Code & Emergency Alerts

Each account is issued one permanent QR code linked to your profile. When your QR code is scanned by a third party, alerts are sent to your designated emergency contacts. You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information you provide is accurate and that your contacts have consented to receive these alerts.

We are not liable for any failure to deliver alerts due to third-party service outages, incorrect contact information, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Subscription & Payments

The Service is offered on two subscription plans:

• Monthly Plan — A$9.90 per month, billed each month.
• Annual Plan — A$69.90 for the first year (equivalent to approximately A$1.34/week), then A$39.90 per year on renewal.

A one-time shipping fee applies for delivery of your physical QR kit. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access to the Service will continue until the end of the current billing period. Annual plans are not refunded on a pro-rata basis unless required by applicable Australian consumer law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including triggering alerts without genuine emergency purpose, providing false information, or attempting to access other users' data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

PetKin is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or within the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
